After hearing about a three-year decision process and comments from representatives of ten municipal partners, and representatives of the Town of Holly Springs, postponed a vote until June 5 on a 25-year interlocal agreement with municipalities creating a partnership for the construction, operation and use of the South Wake Municipal Solid Waste Landfill in Holly Springs.
Held a public hearing and approved a request for grave disinterment, removal and re-interment for a cemetery located off Doonan Street in Zebulon, northeast of its intersection with Mangum Dairy Road, in the proposed Covington Ridge subdivision.
Held a public hearing and adopted Ordinance Amendment OA 05/04 to amend the Wake County Unified Development Ordinance’s flood hazard regulations and to adopt the new flood insurance rate maps for Wake County’s jurisdiction in the Neuse and Cape Fear River basins.
Did not approve a request from the Clerk of the Superior Court to set Wake County Jury Commission fees at $300 per term per member.
Received information from the Board of Education to reallocate Plan 2004 funds for the 2007 Crowding Solution. This item will be placed on the May 15, 2006, agenda.
